It all started for the Fässla brewery back in 1649, the first year of peace after the thirty year war. The impressive facade is reminiscent of that of a typical brewery in the 50s, when the beer would have been delivered by horse and cart. One sees this by the size of the entrance with its large doors which lead to a covered courtyard the ´Schwemm`.	The Fässla brewery
This area is not actually ´in the pub´ and is not so smokey so the business men can go for a quick pint or two after work and then go home to the wife without smelling of pub. Even if he is then asked "have you been in the pub?" he can answer "no" without having a bad conscience. The walls of the 'Schwemm' have been decorated with two murals, one depicting Bambergs beautiful original town center and the other giving a historical view into the brewing process. Lounge, bar, and guest rooms Fässla is to be found in the specially selected ´Unesco world heritage town´of Bamberg. Our opening times for the pub are: Monday to saturday 8.30am untill 11.00pm Sunday 8.30am untill 1.00pm In our rustical, wooden panelled dining-room one can partake in a snack or tuck into a solid Franconian speciality between 11.00am and 2.00pm and then in the evening between 6.00pm and 9.00pm. Guest Rooms Whether you are on holiday or business in 1000 year old Bamberg, our 26 newly fitted bedrooms with shower, wc, telephone,& t.v, are guaranteed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our 5 new non smoking comfort rooms are also fitted with hair dryer and room safe. A wholesome breakfast buffet is served each morning and in summer one can enjoy the time in our beer garden.
